Barbados House

Barbados is a Caribbean island that is located approximately 13N latitude and 59W longitude. The house is in a very quiet area with no traffic. There are a few cows and white egrets in the field beyond the property wall. With no nearby streetlights, you can enjoy the brilliant stars overhead at night. It is surrounded nearby by a safe, middle-class neighborhood of mostly new homes owned by both locals and expats. It is on the cliff just north of the historic Sam Lord's Castle and south of Harry Smith mansion ruins. It is a great location for photography walks and beach combing. Walk along the wilderness cliff with steps down to different remote beaches in coves with palm trees surrounded by cliffs. The bus stop is a five-minute walk from the house. It is a ten-minute drive to the grocery store, banks, post office, video store, several restaurants, and other shops. Barbados is surrounded with white sand beaches. Explore a different one every day. Drive 25 minutes to popular south coast tourist beaches and nightlife or 40 minutes to up-market west coast beaches with flat water, water sports, restaurants, and nightlife. Barbados is 22 miles long with 280,000 people. There's lots to do and see; you'll hardly get your first book read!

The house has a 180-degree view of the water from northeast through southeast. It is 100 feet from the cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean; elevated 70 feet from sea level. It is surrounded by 16 acres of field with no trees. Immediately around the house is asphalt with lots of room for easy mounting of vertical antennas and a north beverage. There are three antennaes on the property: (1) 43-foot vertical 80 through 10 meters, (2) tri-band beam 10-15-20, and (3) 160 cushcraft vertical. KW and tuner available. We can get your 8P license for you in advance. The radio room has air conditioning. The house has wireless high-speed internet and also internet connections in 4 locations for a hardwire plugin if desired (cables available). The house has standard USA 110V plugs and one 220 plug.
